S/I = Sensitive + Inspiring
From LifeLift Assessment A = The DISC Profile
SI (yellow / blue) fall squarely on the “people’” side of our chart.
Though not as outgoing as IS, these people are inspirational counselors who exhibit warmth and sensitivity.
They are kind, tolerant, and forgiving— and they have many friends because they accept and represent others well.
Their social nature and desire to be likable and flexible makes them inclined to be overly accepting and non-confrontational, so much so that they may avoid conflict and tough conversations— when when they are warranted.
As such, SIs will benefit from being more task-oriented and paying more attention to detail.
Kind and considerate, they include others and inspire them to follow. Words of affirmation go a long way with this personality type, and with the right motivation, they can be excellent team players.
Let’s summarize:
- These sensitive inspirers focus on people— not projects
- People will feel loved by them, as they are tolerant and forgiving, sensitive and kind
- They often have many friends and can be great team players
- Weakness = they love people so much and they like their to be harmony so much that they may avoid conflict— even when confrontation is needed
- Words of affirmation go a long way with this personality type
Biblical example
Mary Magdalene (see Luke 7:36-37), the disciple from whom Jesus cast out 7 demons. She became very loyal— and was the first to see the empty tomb AND the resurrected Christ.
