S = Steady + Stable + Servant’s Heart

From LifeLift Assessment A = The DISC Profile

Inward, prefers people over projects

The “yellow” personality type (S in DISC) prefers people to projects. Unlike the “blue” (I), however, S feels more comfortable behind the scenes.

They are steady and more reserved. Because they are stable and predictable, they do not like change, and they thrive in secure, non-threatening environments.

They are often friendly and understanding as well as good listeners and loyal workers who are happy doing the same job consistently (contrast this with D-- red— which thrives on change!).

With an incredible ability to forgive, a high degree of reliability and dependability, Ss  make great friends.

Their greatest fear, however, is loss of security, and their possible weaknesses naturally include not only resistance to change, but also difficulty adjusting to it.

They can also be too sensitive to criticism and unable to establish priorities. In order to avoid being taken advantage of, S needs to be stronger and learn how to say “no.”

Though they like to avoid the limelight, but when given an opportunity to genuinely help others, they will gladly rise to the occasion.

They feel most valued when they have truly helped someone.

Let’s summarize:

  • Steady, stable, reserved, and loyal, these people have a genuine servant’s heart
  • Consistent— as a worker, as a friend, as a family member
  • The upside is that they are predictable and dependable (the weakness is they’re often resistant to change)
  • They avoid the limelight and love helping others
  • Because they thrive on helping others, they are easily taken advantage of and need to learn to say “no” more
