D/S = Determined + Shepherd

From LifeLift Assessment A = The DISC Profile

Because of their D-side (red), DS people are attainers and achievers with an ability to persevere tough circumstances. They are more active than passive, but they possess a kind of calm sensitivity and steadiness that makes them good leaders.

They seem to be people oriented (S / yellow) but can easily be dominant and decisive when it comes to tasks and project planning.

They strive to accomplish goals with fierce determination that comes from strong internal drive, but they could benefit from contemplative and conservative thinking as well as spending more time focusing on relationships.

Let’s summarize:

  • These leaders have the ability to persevere towards a goal— and can embrace people along the ways they do.
  • They are more active than passive. And, they have an ability to shepherd others as they mov forward.
  • They can be decisive and determined (D / red) but are also stable and loyal.
  • They could benefit— as can all “D” types— from embracing more close relationships with some degree of intentionality.

Biblical example

Daniel (see Daniel 1-6). Daniel stood before kings, interpreted dreams, and withstood the fiery furnace. He endured the tough chapter in which the Children of Israel were held captive in Babylon, imparting wisdom and grace along the way.
