I/D = Inspiring and Driven

From LifeLift Assessment A = The DISC Profile

Outward, prefers people over projects

ID (blue / red) are persuaders who are outgoing and energetic. They enjoy large groups, primarily, and readily use their influence to get results by leveraging their influence to encourage people to follow their lead.

They might seem fidgety— or even flighty— sometimes. But that generally comes from their needs to assess the situation, connect with the people around them, and then move forward towards a common goal.

They embrace— and love— freedom and mobility.

Their weakness?

They could benefit from taking a good look before they leap, pausing to stand still and survey the situation first.

They DO make inspiring leaders who know how to get results… through people.

Let’s summarize:

  • Outgoing leader who gets results
  • Energetic and inspiring, can be a passionate persuader
  • Enjoys large groups— and can rally the people towards a common project or mission
  • Loves spontaneity and embraces freedom
  • This can become a weakness, however, if they don’t take a look before they move forward— especially when they have followers

Biblical example

Peter (see Matthew 16 & 26, as well as Acts 3 & 4) was the lead disciple who walked on water, declared Jesus was the Christ, and said he would die with Jesus. But he also sunk when when he walked, rebuked Jesus for stating He was going to the Cross, and denied Jesus three times.

Once Peter became healthy, he rallied the disciples and preached the first sermon at Pentecost, growing the church by 3,000 people. He healed a man— in Acts 4— without even praying. He raised the dead.

Arguably, he was a connecter (I / blue) who rallied people together when the early Church needed such a voice to enliven them.
