D/C = Driven + Challenger

From LifeLift Assessment A = The DISC Profile

DCs embrace projects (the D-side) and can sit still to find patterns and see potential pitfalls (as well as opportunities) (the C-side).

They are at their core  challengers (the red / D-side coming out!) and can either be determined students or defiant critics.

Being in charge is important to them, yet they care little about what others think as long as they get the job done.

They have a great deal of foresight and examine every avenue to find the best solution; they prefer to work alone.

Though they fear failure and the lack of influence, they are motivated by challenges and can often be excellent administrators. They can benefit from learning to relax and paying more attention to people.

Let’s summarize:

  • Driven and introverted (D-side and C-side)
  • Can be a determined student or a defiant critic, depending on whether or not they’re walking in soul-health or un-health
  • Loves to be in charge, and isn’t overly concerned about what others think about them (contrast with D/S)
  • Has great foresight (that’s the C-side shining through, enabling them to see patterns and systems)
  • Weakness = often prefers to work alone, and may exhibit a need to be “correct” rather than connecting with others

Biblical example

Nathan, the prophet who confronted David about his affair with Bathsheba (see 2 Samuel 12:1-13). Nathan foresaw the issues that David’s actions would bring long-term, and walked with him through them.
