The gift of serving is the divine strength or ability to do small or great tasks in working for the overall good of the body of Christ.
I think it contrasts with the gifts of giving and helps in that…
- Giving = offering resources
- Helps = using your gift to enhance the gifts of others
- Service / ministry = giving of yourself
People with this gift are likely keen listeners— and may sit with you for hours. They always come behind you, effectively giving of their very soul.
They often have the created design of exhortation or mercy, and they tend to be "yellow" (read: S) personalty-types.
