Music / Worship = worship + others + community
From LifeLift Assessment D = Spiritual Gifts
The gift of music / worship is the divine strength or ability to sing, dance, or play an instrument primarily for the purpose of helping others worship God.
This gift is different than just being “musically gifted” or “instrumentally inclined.”
Though many performers we see are obviously ultra-talented (something which, no doubt, comes from both their natural, God-given talents as well as hard work), many performers are just that… performers.
This doesn’t minimize what they do— or their skillset— at all. Rather, it highlights the difference in the spiritual gift of music / worship, which is the capacity to connect with others and invite them into the worship experience.
