The 13-part video course equips you with the info you need to live an empowered life...
And move forward-- a little bit each day-- from where you are to where you're designed to be
First, you'll learn an innovative (and highly visual!) way to define your dreams-- in 7 areas of life...
... and you'll map your way forward from where you are to where you're designed to be.
Abraham Lincoln famously said, “The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.”
If you’ve got a plan, that’s a great thing— we can manage each day, on its own terms, in succession.
If you don’t have a plan, well… the time still passes. And, rather than stewarding that time and telling it what to do— in the same way you can leverage the power of a budget and allocate financial resources in specific ways— the time just… evaporates.
The best solution… is to find a plan that works for you— one that helps you move from where you are to where you’re designed to be.
The ladder was— and is— our central metaphor. With each rung we go higher AND closer to realizing our dreams…
Here’s the overview:
💡 What = the head, the idea
⚙️ How = the hands, implementation
💙 Why = the heart, inspiration
🚍 Who = interdependence
🦸♂️ You = individuality
In this video we talk through a short parable that illustrates how all of this fits together.
The first step in living any dream is to decide what that dream is. In this video we discuss how to…
✅ First, decide where you want to go.
✅ Second, determine where you are (we also discuss the fact that “where you are isn’t who you are).
✅ Third, reverse engineer BACK from where you want to be to where you currently are.
We’ll talk about—
💎 The action steps you’ll need to take.
💎 The reason many goals never materialize (people confuse ACTION STEPS with the RESULTS of action steps).
Second, you'll discover key ingredients of unlocking your full potential, so you can harness your time + stamina + focus...
... and be fully present, wherever you are, even as you focus on the things which matter the most.
Sometimes it just takes a little bit to accomplish a lot.
Scientists (oddly enough, this took an actual experiment) discovered that a domino can knock a domino that’s 50% larger over- relatively easily. And that one can knock another. And that one knocks yet another…
💥 It starts small. Just a few inches.
💥 But, within a few hits, you tower over 6’… and then on to cataclysmic proportions.
👉 The same is true in life.
Sometimes it’s the extra phone call. Making the bed. Reading that story to the kid at bedtime. Writing the letter. Going back inside for the “I love you” or the hug.
The small stuff… we'll show you how to leverage it.
All three are important...
❌ An opportunity that doesn’t pay you is simply… a hobby. It adds color and zest to life (and should be enjoyed), but it won’t provide space for you to “do your dream” full time.
❌ An opportunity that doesn’t include your area of expertise or skill… will be short-lived. Without the ability to produce, this opportunity won’t last.
❌ An opportunity that exists aside from your passions… will feel like toil. And honestly, this is where a lot of people exist today. They’ve found something that produces income (financial), they’re good at it (expertise), but they’re not fulfilled…
✅ In this video we discuss how to move from toil and leverage each of these three areas to discover your uniqueness, so that you can live your best life.
Your the calendar is (probably) full. No time on the schedule. That means, in order to clear up time to do the things that need to be done, you’ll probably need to STOP doing some other things.
We’re all busy. It’s almost a #HumbleBrag in our culture to actually BE busy. I mean, no one actually LIKES being so busy that they can’t keep up with what’s going on, but we carry our jam-packed calendars around like badges of honor.
That can be a HUGE problem with it comes to pursuing your dreams…
… because dreams require time. Concentrated, high-octane time. Some of your “best” time. And your energy. And your focus.
Look at EVERY significant turning point in your life- the good ones AND the bad ones. Most of them probably have MORE to do with a RELATIONSHIP than any other factor…
🚌 Someone believed in you…
🚌 Or someone steered you in the wrong direction…
🚌 Someone called forth the greatness in you- or shared with you an amazing idea that TOTALLY transformed your outlook on an opportunity…
🚌 Or someone else wounded you in some way…
Whereas we tend to plan life around “what” we’ll do… or even “how” we’ll get it done… "who" may very well be the most important question.
Success is more like following a recipe than finding the right lottery ticket…
👉 #1- it’s a proven process. You can look at what others do and you can follow along, getting similar results.
In other words, a lot of the guess work is taken out of it…
👉#2- there’s no shortage of success to go around.
Success isn’t like that, though.
✅ There's enough to go around…
✅ We can all win.
✅ We can all help each other.
In this video we talk you through how to follow the recipe in each area of life and achieve what you want to see happen…
Maybe you’ve heard the phrase “Success changed them.”
Or, “They let success go to their head.”
But, I don’t think success changes people. Rather, I think it reveals what’s already true of people once the limited factors are removed…
Success— a bigger platform— will highlight—
🍋 First, the idiosyncrasies and oddities about you (the neutral things).
🍋 Second, the issues you need to deal with (the negative things).
🍋 Third, the incredible attributes you have (the positives).
Third, you'll develop simple habits which empower you to make progress your daily habit...
... and continue advancing from where you are to where you're designed to be.
The best things can’t be microwaved or short-ordered. The best stuff = slow-cooked. Over time.
And that’s why you have to go for progress, not perfection. That is, just moving a bit closer to your intended destination each day…
And it’s why you chart direction (as in, “am I moving in the right one?”)… not distance (“did I make it all the way?”— totally annoying when kids ask that in the car, right?, yet we crush ourselves with that question in life…).
Get up. And get going again. You’ve got it.
And, even if some of the closest people kicked you to the curb, there are strangers even cheering you from the sidelines, standing in your corner…
(And many of the closest… they come back around.)
Somebody told me that your checkbook reveals what’s important to you. That is…
💰 Follow the trail of where your money goes and we can see what truly matters…
⏰ Same is true of TIME.
It’s easy to say we value certain things, but… when we turn and look at where the time was invested, the calendar SOMETIMES tells a different story, right?
Now… what if we could review our time in the same way we review checkbooks?
… because experience is a good teacher. But EVALUATED experience is even better.
I'm one of those people who likes to get it on paper, gets satisfaction out of seeing it in print, that I forget you've got to walk out the process of getting from point A to B.
It's easy to become so enamored with the plan ("Geez, look at this great thing I'm going to do"), that I/we can forget to actually follow through.
The payoff is in the process, not the plan.
Whether it's relationships. Work. Business. Fitness. Weight loss...
Plans are awesome, but walking the path is even better…
In video 12 we talk about how to do both— and make a plan you can actually walk each day.
The way things begin is often important. And the way things end.
☀️The morning “power up” routine is a way for you to outline “your perfect morning.” Sure, mornings don’t always go as planned, but pondering the best case scenario here allows you to frame the possibilities… and, then to repeat the scenarios which work best for you.
🌙 The same is true with the evening. The “power down,” that is “perfect evening” routine acknowledges that in the same way kids need to “cool off” and “wind down” from their day, so also do adults.
After watching this video you’ll see the first few moments and the final few moments of each day as sacred space that sets the tone for what you accomplish with the rest of your time.
